At Waverly Church of Christ, we believe everyone has a Next Best Step to take in their journey with Jesus. Our Next Steps Classes are designed to help you discover what that step might be. Whether you’re new to our church, have questions about what it means to follow Jesus, are considering baptism, or simply want to learn more about becoming part of our church family, this class provides a relaxed and welcoming place to explore what Scripture teaches and what it means to take your next step of faith.
Next Steps Classes are offered on the last Sunday of every month and focus on two important parts of our journey together: responding to Jesus through faith and baptism and connecting more deeply with the Waverly Church of Christ family. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about what we believe, discover what membership and involvement at Waverly looks like, and consider where God may be leading you next. Wherever you are in your journey, we’d love to help you take your Next Best Step closer to Jesus!

We believe God is doing something at the Waverly Church of Christ—and through the Waverly Church of Christ!
Inspired by the 120 believers gathered together in Acts 1:15, Mission 120 is our faith-filled commitment to prayerfully pursue 120 people gathered in worship by the year 2030. We’re trusting God to grow His church as we faithfully pray, invite, serve, encourage, and make disciples together.
But Mission 120 isn’t ultimately about numbers. Every number has a name. Every name has a story. And every story matters to God.
We’re praying expectantly, working faithfully, and trusting God to do “far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think!” (Ephesians 3:20).
Mission 120. 120 by 2030. We cannot wait to see what God will do!

What does it really look like to live as a citizen of God’s Kingdom in the middle of the world around us? Jesus didn’t call us simply to wait for His Kingdom someday—He calls us to faithfully represent His Kingdom right here and right now.
In this six-week journey through 2 Thessalonians, we’ll discover how followers of Jesus are called to live with growing faith, enduring hope, faithful prayer, steadfast commitment, and purposeful work as we look forward to Christ’s return. Paul’s words to the Thessalonian church remind us that even in a difficult and changing world, God’s people have a mission to accomplish.
Together, we’ll be challenged to live differently, stand firmly, pray boldly, serve faithfully, and take an active role in the work God is doing around us. We don’t simply want to talk about God’s Kingdom—we want to become the kind of people through whom His Kingdom is being built right where He has placed us.
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10
